Love

February is that time of year where everyone celebrates love or so they say. Love isn't just about the relationship between a man and a women, or whether or not he remembers to get candy or a silly dancing animal.

It's not about what you are getting but rather what you give. Are you being patient, kind, forgiving, humble, uplifting or selfless. Are you being loving?

My younger sister said someone loved her because they spend a lot of money on her for her birthday, but she missed the mark love isn't how much you get but having the person caring enough to want to better your life in someway your needs matter. Who you are matter good or bad.

Too often we use the we word love to show affection for object or things that don't deserve the precious gift that love is. As a result we don't know how to receive or give real love to each other. We base it on feelings and emotions that tend to change according to what we are experiencing rather then make the choice to love and stick by it.

The best part is we have someone who does love us for all that we are. He showed it by creating us, giving us a connection to Him, and supplying what we need in all aspects of our life and much more then I can describe within my narrow view of who He is.

He is God and he sent Jesus to show us the way.The way ti Him, the way to treat others, the way to treat ourselves. Even though we often push Him away he waits with open arms.

Isn't that awesome.
